Dear Family and Friends,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Christmas greetings to everyone!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Another busy year with the usual highs, lows and everywhere in-between.<\/p>\n

Our youngest, Eric ‘flew the nest’ for college this Fall. He is living in the dorms at University of Colorado in Boulder. He stops in now and then since it’s only a 25 minute drive to home. He wrapped up a great H.S. track season in the spring by competing in 5 events at the State Champs and winning the 300 m hurdles and the 4×400 relay. He made it through graduation and is now adjusting to the rigors of the engineering curriculum, saying, ‘he’d never studied so much in high school.’<\/p>\n

Alex seems to continually find new mountains to conquer. All the 14,000ft peaks are completed in the lower 48, so now he’s working on all the 13,000ft peaks in Colorado (637 total); every ski run in the state recorded on his App (still working on that); run on every street in Boulder and Erie as recorded on his App; every highpoint in every county in Colorado and every highpoint in every state while finishing up his senior year at CU with a double major in Electrical\/Computer Engineering and Computer Science. I’ll stop there…..Oh, and cubing! See pics and\/or his YouTube site – ‘Z3Cubing’<\/p>\n

Janaye and Jonnavin are still just 20 minutes down the road and come visit us almost every weekend for dinner\/games\/movies. Janaye is still working as a Civil Engineer at Rocksol and actually works on projects in Old Town Erie on occasion. Their Boardwell clan grew this year as they welcomed a niece (Abigail) and a Sister-in-Law (Julia) to the family. We all ventured to the wedding in Indiana to see old friends. Alex was the best man to his long time childhood friend, Adam.\u00a0 See pics!<\/p>\n

Michelle and I made it through the year without much drama. I guess that can be good or bad but, no major surgeries, accidents or setbacks so I’ll call that good! We finally knocked the dust off of our camper and got back up into the mountains. We’re hoping to do a lot more of that in 2024.<\/p>\n
